About Kakum National Park
Kakum National Park is Ghana’s most visited natural attraction. It is located in the Central Region of Ghana, about 30 kilometers from Cape Coast. The park protects a large area of tropical rainforest, which is home to a variety of plants and animals.
The park’s most popular attraction is the Canopy Walkway, which is a 350-meter-long suspended walkway that winds through the treetops. The walkway offers stunning views of the rainforest and its inhabitants.
Kakum National Park is also a great place for bird watching. Over 300 species of birds have been recorded in the park, including the hornbill, the parrot, and the eagle.
